I have always loved fitness and performance, so I naturally found a passion in supporting athletes to optimise their performance. I myself, spend most of my free time training for functional fitness/CrossFit competitions and running events. I compete mostly for fun, to socialise and because it gives my training more purpose and encourages me to keep progressing in my own performance. As an Accredited Sports Dietitian, training and competing allows me to put evidence into practice to gain an understanding of the practical applications of sports nutrition research from the athlete perspective. This is an essential component that informs my practice to ensure the advice I provide is both evidence-based and practical.
My favourite thing about being a sports dietitian is seeing people shift from a dieting mindset with body aesthetic goals to a fuelling mindset with a strong focus on performance. It's a powerful, life-changing shift and I want to support as many people as I can to get there. I aim to achieve this though my social media content, individual client sessions and the work I do with other sporting and fitness businesses.
